Soukaina, founder of NEYA (نية), is an entrepreneur, an author and an early childhood advocate who believes in the power of the early years to shape a child's capacity well into their teenage and adult life. Soukaina writes educational stories and offers social-emotional tools and skill-based workshops for children 0 to 8 years old, to grow their emotional resilience, sense of community and responsibility, and to build healthy, lasting relationships, among other essential early-years skills. Her first series is built around children's inner desire to belong in their community, helping the child learn healthy independence, how to ask for help, and how to contribute at their own level, in the most genuine way. Her stories pair an inner quest with a wisdom designed to stay with the child when they need it most, in real life, beyond the story. NEYA’s approach combines a psychology-inspired methodology with play-based learning, keeping sessions playful and interactive, where children are encouraged to grow their inner capabilities through critical thinking, hands-on practice, naming feelings and situations, and age-appropriate problem-solving. Whether it's a child-focused session, educator training, or parent workshops, each session ends on a child or caregiver who's grown a skill and taken something home to practice.
