A dedicated early years educator and leader with 20 years of experience providing teaching and learning experiences to the youngest learners in schools and early childhood centres in Dubai. With a passion for literacy, phonics and early years writer’s workshops, reading stories to children has always been something I have reveled in. Whether it has been reading to my own children, students in class or my grandchildren. As a teacher in Dubai, I always found there was a lack of books about the UAE and its culture. Although, in recent times it has started to grow, allowing children to connect more to real life UAE culture and its environment. The growth in UAE children’s stories has been important for children to connect with and for it to live in children’s imagination, just like conventional children’s stories. There is so much beauty surrounding us here in the UAE and there is always a story to tell. I look forward to being a part of the storytelling and being a part of "Dubai-It".
